A Heartfelt Thank You

First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the event. Your presence and contributions were invaluable, showing a collective commitment to this vital cause. Special thanks to

Lord Richard Best for his inspiring keynote speech, which set the tone for the campaign, hailing it as:

“a great mission at an important moment”.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Rachel Russell and Paul Smith from Foundations, and David Orr, Chair of Clarion Housing Association, for their insightful perspectives and unwavering support. Your expertise and dedication are instrumental in driving this mission forward.

The Role of Invisible Creations

Invisible Creations is proud to be at the forefront of the Fit for our Future campaign. Our mission has always been to drive forward inclusive design and non-stigmatising aids and adaptations into mainstream housing. We believe that everyone deserves a home that is safe, stylish, and supportive of their independence as their needs evolve. By partnering with Foundations and PROCare, we are championing the right of every individual to live in a home that meets their needs, regardless of age or ability.

The Fit for our Future campaign is a great mission at a critical moment. But as David Orr said ‘The pledge to build 1.5 million new homes over this parliament is welcome, but we must not forget the 26 million existing homes in the UK, many of which are among the oldest and poorest quality in Western Europe. This campaign needs to reach and change practice in the private rented and owner-occupied sectors as well as social housing.’
